About this Summit

Quilicura is part of Santiago, the capital of Chile, in South America. Like in all major cities on our continent, mass consumption plastics are a problem. However, we want to be part of the solution! We will gather as a community to meet activists and seek to contribute to sustainability solutions and a better life in our city.

We will gather in Quilicura, north of Santiago, to share a space of learning, activism, and knowledge about plastics, various sustainability topics, and how young people can be the change we want to see in the world.

For the first time in Chile, we will be part of the Wind Summit by Planeteer Alliance, a global event where we will join in learning and discovering concrete ecological and environmental actions, as well as building a community of young individuals committed to making a difference for our planet.

Young people aged 14 to 25 who are eager to participate can watch the event on social media and register above.

About the FIRE Summit

The FIRE Element focuses on rapidly transitioning to renewable energy sources, clean transportation, and accelerating ways to draw down fossil fuel dependence. Targeting the source of these emissions — namely fossil fuels — and doing so equitably, is the goal of the FIRE element. This FIRE Summit is convening Planeteers in communities around the world to develop campaigns to accelerate our transition away from fossil fuels.

About Planeteer Alliance

Planeteer Alliance is a program of the Captain Planet Foundation, a US-based NGO with the mission of engaging and empowering young people to be problem solvers for the planet.
