🌱 Panchang EARTH Summit 2026

📍 Central River Region North, Banjul, Gambia
📅 September 26th, 2026

The Panchang EARTH Summit 2026 will begin with a road show within Panchang to raise awareness about climate solutions, including transforming food systems to be more equitable and regenerative, reducing food waste, restoring and protecting soil health, planting more native plants and trees, and protecting and restoring forests.

Due to high demand for farmland and settlement, deforestation has led to a decline in soil health. Wind and water erosion have contributed to low agricultural production in the Central River Region. The frequent cutting down of trees without replacement has also led to lower rainfall, gradually rising temperatures, and a shorter rainy season.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of environmental challenges and Earth systems in the Central River Region. They will also build knowledge of climate change impacts, adaptation solutions, conservation, biodiversity protection, and ecosystem restoration.

Participants will be inspired to take positive action to protect the planet and build connections with practitioners and NGOs.
