The BreatheBlue Team is excited to welcome all participants and guests for a day customized to learning how to brave the wave like an inferno! India’s heavy reliance on fossil fuels, namely coal, oil, and natural gas, underscores the urgent need for transitioning to renewable sources such as solar and wind power to mitigate the carbon footprint and enhance sustainability in the energy sector. Promoting energy-efficient practices in construction, including green building certifications, solar rooftop installations, and improved insulation, can play a pivotal role in curbing energy demand within the region’s burgeoning construction sector, contributing to a greener and more sustainable built environment.

About the FIRE Summit
The FIRE Element focuses on rapidly transitioning to renewable energy sources, clean transportation, and accelerating ways to draw down fossil fuel dependence. Targeting the source of these emissions — namely fossil fuels — and doing so equitably, is the goal of the FIRE element. This FIRE Summit is convening Planeteers in communities around the world to develop campaigns to accelerate our transition away from fossil fuels.
