🌱 Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria – “Igniting Sustainable Solutions” EARTH Summit 2026

📍 University of Jos, Permanent Site
📅 September 26, 2026

The “Igniting Sustainable Solutions” EARTH Summit 2026 will bring together passionate young people from rural communities across Plateau State to explore practical, community-driven solutions to the environmental challenges affecting their communities.

This year’s Summit will focus on the devastating impacts of artisanal mining, including land degradation, deforestation, ecosystem destruction, and the loss of farmland that many families depend on for their livelihoods.

Participants will hear from environmental experts and a representative from the Plateau State Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, who will share insights into government policies, ongoing interventions, and the important role communities play in responsible environmental management.

Through interactive discussions, group activities, and collaborative brainstorming, participants will develop sustainable and actionable solutions they can implement in their own communities. The Summit will empower young people to become environmental ambassadors who promote climate action, strengthen community resilience, and inspire positive change long after the event concludes.
